liblinux-dvb-perl software package provides interface to (some parts of) the Linux DVB API, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install liblinux-dvb-perl
liblinux-dvb-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the liblinux-dvb-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep liblinux-dvb-perl *
You will get with liblinux-dvb-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
